Guangdong Senfar Advanced Material Co., Ltd. is a limited liability company with independent legal personality formed by the Guangdong Research Institute of Rare Metals of Guangdong Academy of Sciences, Meizhou Industry and Technology Institute of Guangdong Academy of Sciences, Guangdong Dennis Ceramics Co., Ltd., and core members of the luminescent materials team from Guangdong Research Institute of Rare Metals. The new company opened on January 1, 2020.
The company (formerly known as Guangzhou Institute of Nonferrous Metals) is one of the company which is the first to study on the research and development on the rare earth actived alkaline earth long afterglow luminescent materials in china. There are 35 staff members. 9 of them are professors, senior engineers, PhDs. The construction area of the factory area is 4500 square meters. A first class laboratory on the research, development and application of rare earth actived optoelectronic functional ceramics and a production lines with 200 tons luminescent materials and related products per year have been established on the production lines of luminescent materials and related products from Guangdong Research Institute of Rare Metals. The company has good scientific research innovation ability and industrialization foundation.
In1999, with the support of the special fund of the national research institute, the third generation of rare earth actived alkaline earth long afterglow luminescent materials were successfully developed and industrialized by the luminescent team from Guangzhou Institute of Nonferrous Metals. In recent years, the luminescent team has won second and third prizes with a total of 11for the science and Technology Progress Award from China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City, 1 excellent new product in Guangdong Province, 1 high-tech product in Guangdong Province, 10 authorized patents and 25 published SCI papers.
The luminescent materials team has been responsible for the revision of the national standards on《The rare earth active long afterglow luminescent materials》 and two test standards on《Part 1 of the rare earth actived long afterglow luminescent materials: the test on the emission peak and chromaticity coordinate》and 《Part 2 of the rare earth active long afterglow luminescent materials: the test on afterglow brightness》. The product quality is certified by various international testing organizations. Products are sold to Europe, America and Japan.
